My new year officially starts this month. I was on bedrest for the month of January and enjoying my new baby for the month of February. So I really didn’t have time to go over my goals for 2006 or make new ones for 2007.
Being pregnant kind of made a dent in most of my writing goals, because I honestly didn’t have any desire to write. So half of 2006 I wrote in my head and nothing on paper. I was just too tired.
I’m hoping this year will be different. I’ve come up with a few ideas for some of my manuscripts and a couple for some new ones.
So I’m ready to get started. I’ll keep you posted on how I’m doing.

Here's to having a wonderful writing year.
Don't beat yourself up about 2006. I remember all too well how babies and writing goals interact. Don't stress yourself in 2007 either if you feel that you're not making as much progress as you wanted. Your baby is an infant still, and very in need of his mama.
It will come. One day you'll look up and realize the baby is toddling, you're more rested than you've been in a year and a half, and you've actually put some words on paper. I'm still working on getting to where I want to be in my writing but it's coming together, piece by piece.
